Splatoon 2's multiplayer map rotation has been decreased to 2 hours per rotation, as opposed to the 4 hours per rotation in the original Splatoon.

The faster cycle should add variety to the game, allowing players to extend their gaming sessions rather than cutting them short because they are bored of playing on the same maps.
Hopefully, another map is added to the rotation (like Splatfests) to add even more variety, as the limited map rotation was a common complaint with the original Splatoon.

Splatoon is a third-person shooter video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Wii U, which released worldwide in May 2015.
