Reggie Fils-Aimé, Nintendo of America's former Chief Operating Officer, announced earlier today that he has partnered up with The New York Videogame Critics Circle in order to host a series of fund-raising gaming podcasts for charity.
According to Fils-Aimé's announcement, the new Talking Games podcast series consists of seven episodes that he will be hosting alongside Washington Post writer Harold Goldberg; with the fund-raiser initiative seeking to ensure that students in homeless shelters can get a proper education.
This initiative comes as a result of the Coronavirus(COVID-19) lockdown, which has impacted these students the most — due to how complex their situation was even before the pandemic struck.
Reggie Fils-Aimé also reveals that one of their first guests on the podcast is none other than video game industry reporter Geoff Keighly, althoughthey have yet to reveal more details about the show as a whole — especially since they still haven't revealed exactly when the first episode will be airing.
In February of 2019, Fils-Aimé announced that he would be stepping down as COO of Nintendo of America, and ever sicne he has been teaching classes at Cornell University, and Talking Games is a testament to his commitment to teaching in general.
Undoubtedly, video game aficionados will be listening to Reggie's new video gaming podcast whenever it is that it begins to air; especially because it is for such a noble cause.
