Hideki Kamiya Teases A BAYONETTA And MORTAL KOMBAT Crossover; Would Love To See Bayonetta Being Fatality'd

Hideki Kamiya — Devil May Cry and Bayonetta series creator — is at it again, as he's recently been toying with the idea of a Bayonetta and Mortal Kombat crossover; making fans of both series excited.

The news actually comes from Kamiya's personal Twitter account, in which he posted a single tweet that read "Mortal Kombat x Bayonetta". Mortal Kombat 11 was revealed in December of last year, and characters are still being revealed by NetherRealm Studios.

Kamiya's teasing doesn't end there, though, since not an hour ago he posted yet another tweet telling fans that he'd love to see a Bayonetta being Fatality'd; also suggesting that she would love to see it, as well. And we all know Bayonetta would probably enjoy it.

Mortal Kombat 11 won't be out until the 23rd of April( with the Nintendo Switch version releasing on the 10th of May) so this is the perfect time for Kamiya to start teasing Bayonetta as a guest character in NetherRealm's iconic fighting series; especially since Mortal Kombat has been getting guest characters for a while, now.

Bayonetta has already had the privilege of joining two entries in Nintendo's acclaimed Super Smash Bros. series, so her making an appearance in Mortal Kombat 11 is something more than plausible.

Given that Nintendo owns the publishing right to the Bayonetta games, it is likely that Bayonetta herself could end up making her way into Mortal Kombat 11 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive character, but all of this is mere speculation given that Kamiya's tweet confirms absolutely nothing. It will still be interesting to see where this whole thing goes from now on, though.

The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the 23rd of April
Nintendo Switch version will release on the 10th of May.

Bayonetta 3 still doesn't have an official release date.
