Based on the massively popular video game franchise of the same name, the Monster Hunter video game adaption has not had much press since it finished principle photography in 2018. That may have, in large part, to do with the fact that there has not been much released for the movie aside from some production photos of cast members Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa.
While many fans of the games are not overly excited for the movie, there is not much known about it as of yet, aside from a synopsis that describes a team of soldiers that end up transported to the world of the video games. In fact, there have not been any official looks at the creatures that will be in the movie.
While the shroud of mystery does weigh heavy over it, the curiosity of what could be is incredibly enticing. Sadly, fans will have to wait a little longer to see what the film has in store for them.
According to Deadline, the film has been delayed till April of next year instead of releasing on its September 4th release date. As of now, there is no official reason, but certain possibilities could be the competition of A Quiet Place Part 2 and, of course, the COVID-19 pandemic. Until then, it looks like the wait shall continue for just a bit longer. Make sure to share your thoughts on the news in the comments!
