PlatinumGames has recently updated their official website for the long-awaited, and highly anticipated
Bayonetta 3; revealing that Nintendo and Sega are the game's copyright holders. The reason why this is important is because this rules out the game releasing on other platforms.
So far, we knew that
Bayonetta 3 would be a Nintendo Switch exclusive title, but there have been some rumours — that didn't really hold any water to them — that suggested the game could also release for PC. Now we know for sure that this will not be the case any time soon; if at all, to be quite fair.
The first Bayonetta game was released for the Xbox 360 and was later ported to the PlayStation 3 and eventually the Nintendo Wii U when it was bundled with
Bayonetta 2 — which is also a game that Nintendo holds the copyrights for; in fact, had it not been for Nintendo the game wouldn't even exist.
While this isn't confirmed by PlatinumGames, the fact that the game's website has been recently updated could mean that they will probably be revealing some official information about
Bayonetta 3.
The game was announced during the 2017 E3 and we've barely had any news regarding the project; making this the perfect time to give fans of the Bayonetta series an official trailer for
Bayonetta 3, and maybe even an official release date.
Considering that
Bayonetta 3 is a Nintendo Switch game, chances are that Platinumgames will not be revealing any details until nintendo finally decides to stream a Nintendo Direct presentation. Rumours also suggest that said presentation could be taking place in March, but we'll just hve to wait for official information from Nintendo.
Bayonetta 3 is currently being developed exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
