Dragon Quest XI is finally making its way int o the Nintendo Switch this fall, after being delayed time and time again. Nintendo Switch owners will be getting what Square Enix deems as the game's Definitive Edition; including features not present in other platforms.
Among the new features, exclusive to the Nintendo Switch,
Dragon Quest XI will be getting fully voiced dialogues in Japanese, as well as giving players the ability to switch between the new 3D graphics and a classic 16-Bit style like the one seen in the
Dragon Quest titles of the 16-Bit era.
Recently, Takashi Mochizuki — The Wall Street Journal Tech Reporter — asked Square Enix about the possibility of this Nintendo Switch content making its way into other versions of
Dragon Quest XI, to what the developer replied with a blun "undecided".
After all of the delays Nintendo Switch owners have had to go through in order to finally get
Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition on their handheld hybrid console, it's likely that Square Enix decides to make this content exclusive for Nintendo's console, at leat for some time; encouraging fans to go for the Switch version instead of waiting for an eventual update for other platforms.
Whatever the case, Square Enix will not be revealing that kind of information until, at least, the Nintend oSwitch version of
Dragon Quest XI has already become available.
