The Game Awards 2018 is just over a week away and looks to be one of the biggest presentation yet. Not only will the upcoming awards show reward developers and studios for their well-recieved games, but will also see updates and announcements regarding forthcoming titles.

In a new video, released by The Game Awards' host on Twitter, Geoff Keighley confirms that this year's showing will see the announcement of "more than 10 new games" as well as updates for already known titles. Though Keighley keeps his cards close to his chest, as to maintain the element of surprise, it certainly builds up anticipation for the awards show.

Keighley also notes that this year's ceremony will see the return of an orchestra - which will play various video-game themes. “This year is all about expanding what we do well, and actually it’s a little intimidating because we had such a great response to last year’s show."

What do you think of Keighley's tease? What are you expecting in-terms of new game announcements?

The Game Awards will be livestreamed on the 7th December at 1:30 am GMT
