From what we've seen so far, Mortal Kombat: Scorpions Revenge appears to be a fun and faithful take on the iconic Mortal Kombat franchise. Director Ethan Spaulding (Justice League: Throne of Atlantis) and writer Jeremy Adams (Teen Titans Go Vs. Teen Titans) seem to have nailed the tone that fans want in an R-rated animated film.
The first clip sees Special Forces agent Sonya Blade fighting a vicious opponent. While initially dominating her foe, the fight takes an unexpected turn when her adversary suddenly has her on the ropes. This leads to a flashback sequence that reveals how she met Jax Briggs.

The second clip, (courtesy of SYFY Wire) depicts a violent encounter between Liu Kang and Kitana. While initially dismissive of Liu Kang's fighting abilities, the Edenian Princess uses her lethal fans in an attempt to bring Earth Realm's Champion to heel.
Finally, check out this clip released last week courtesy of IGN. It showcases an encounter between long-term enemies, Sub Zero and Scorpion, and demonstrates Scorpion's undying resolve to avenge the deaths of his loved ones at the hands of Sub Zero's Lin Kuei Clan.
