The sequel to 2020's Digimon Adventure LAST EVOLUTION KIZUNA, will take us back to the realm of the original Digimon Adventure franchise beginning this Friday! to celebrate, Digimon Adventure 02 THE BEGINNING and its production team gave fans a sneak peek at the film on the studio's YouTube account before its official premiere! It’s 2012, and ten years have passed since the adventure in the Digital World. Daisuke Motomiya is now twenty, and he and the rest of the DigiDestined seem to be changing bit by bit in terms of appearance and lifestyle. Then one day, a giant Digitama suddenly appears in the sky over Tokyo Tower. Daisuke and the others encounter a mysterious young man named Lui Ohwada, who informs them that he’s the first ever DigiDestined in the world…

THE BEGINNING from LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna is being be directed by Tomohisa Taguchi, and Akatsuki Yamatoya will return to write the screenplay. Yumeta Company will produce the animation, with Toei Animation over the film's production. The film will be premiering throughout Japan beginning October 27, and will open U.S. screenings starting November 8.
