Sony has announced next month's batch of free PlayStation Plus games. Headlining February's lineup of free games for PS4 is the long-awaited
Knack, as well as
RiME - two solid additions to any gamer's catalog.
Knack was released back in 2013 as a launch title for the PlayStation 4, designed to showcase the power of next-gen while giving gamers a change of pace from the onslaught of mature-themed first-person shooters. The family-friendly title combines action-adventure gameplay with basic platforming.
RiME, on the other hand, offers players a little more challenge. This single-player puzzle-adventure game sees you play as a young boy who awakens on an island after being shipwrecked from a storm. Through platforming and environment puzzle-solving, you'll explore the mysterious island and uncover the mystery of the boy's past.
Last-gen PS3 players will receive
Spelunker HD, a puzzle-platformer with wild online gameplay, as well as
Mugen Souls Z, a turn-based RPG and sequel to 2012
Mugen Souls, for free.
Lastly, PlayStation Vita owners are getting
Exciles End, an exploration-driven, side-scrolling adventure game inspired by early '90s "cinematic platformers." The game combines puzzle-solving, platforming, and intense gun-play action. The other PS Vita game is
Grand Kingdom, a tactial RPG that will also be available for PS4.
All 6 of these games will be available for download for PS Plus members on Tuesday, February 6, which means you have until then to download
January's free PS Plus offerings. PlayStation Plus members also have until March 6th to download
Starblood Arena as a bonus game for PS VR.
