There's no denying that
Death Stranding Director Hideo Kojima has managed to assemble an incredibly talented cast, including Norman Reedus (
The Walking Dead), Guillermo del Toro (
The Shape of Water), Mads Mikkelsen (
Hannibal), Léa Seydoux (
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol), Lindsay Wagner (
The Bionic Woman), Troy Baker (
The Last of Us), and Tommie Earl Jenkins (
How to Get Away with Murder).
It looks like the last actor on the list above has accidently spoiled that Stefanie Joosten will also have a role to play in the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive. Earl Jenkins has shared a photo from the
Death Stranding set on Instagram and had included Joosten only to remove the tag afterwards, basically confirming that the Dutch model and actress will be featured in Koijma's upcoming extravaganza.
Joosten and Koijma previously worked on
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, in which she portrayed mercenary Quiet, who was a subject of controversy from the very beginning, as her “revealing way to much” combat suit had to be altered before the acclaimed title hit stores in 2015.
Considering that the actress has shared pictures from Iceland, where
Death Stranding reportedly takes place, we wouldn't be surprised to hear that Joosten is indeed playing the woman Norman Reedus' protagonist Sam is carrying on his back in one of
Death Stranding's gameplay trailers. Take a look:
Besieged by death's tide at every turn, Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the stranded remnants of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? A genre defining gameplay experience holds these answers and more.
Death Stranding is coming to PlayStation 4 and doesn't have a set release date yet.
