Sony has revealed April's monthly games lineup for PlayStation Plus, and subscribers are in for a real treat.
April will see three new games rotated into the PS Plus lineup: Immortals of Aveum, Minecraft Legends, and Skull: The Hero Slayer. All three games will be available for PS Plus members to claim from Tuesday, April 2 until Monday, May 6.
Immortals of Aveum is a single-player first-person magic shooter that "tells the story of Jak as he joins an elite order of battlemages to save a world on the edge of an abyss." The game features fast, fluid, first-person spell-based combat. With the ability to unlock and upgrade more than 25 Spells and 80 Talents and craft and improve hundreds of pieces of gear, you can customize a unique mage to fit your playstyle. Immortals of Aveum will be available for PlayStation 5.
Minecraft Legends takes Mojang's popular open-world survival sandbox game and turns it into an action strategy game.
Explore a gentle land of rich resources and lush biomes on the brink of destruction. The ravaging piglins have arrived, and it’s up to you to form alliances with new friends and familiar mobs, then lead the charge in epic battles against the fierce piglins to defend the Overworld.
Minecraft Legends features a single-player story mode that serves as a tutorial for the more robust multiplayer game. The game features both co-op and competitive multiplayer PvP. In co-op, you work together to defeat strong AI bosses, while PvP features intense team-based battles with up to eight players as you race to destroy the opposing team's Well of Fate.
The third free game of the month is Skul: The Hero Slayer for PlayStation 4. In this 2D action platformer, you play as a lowly skeleton Skul who must save your demonic brethren from a band of adventures that have captured and imprisoned them. With a large arsenal to abilities at your disposal, you can equip two types at a time to mold your playstyle. The game features an ever-changing map, ensuring that each playthrough remains unique and exciting.
In addition to the free games, Sony and Blizzard are teaming up for a limited-time Overwatch 2 Mega Bundle that is exclusive to PlayStation Plus members. This free bundle includes all of the following:
