Sony is readying to launch the PlayStation 4's next major system update (5.50), and now they need your help. Before they release it to the public, they are looking for some PS4 owners to test it out.

Starting today, you  can sign up for a chance to be a beta tester and get an early look at some of the improvements and new features the update will bring.

If you wish to participate, simply head over to the official PlayStation registration page and enter the information required. You must be 18 years or older to participate, and this time around Canadian PS4 owners can participate.

If you are accepted into the program, Sony will email you instructions on downloading the beta version of the system software update.

There's no details on what new features update 5.50 will bring to the PlayStation 4.
