Rumors of a Bloodborne remaster are once again doing the rounds. Bloodborne released back in 2015, exclusively for the PlayStation 4 console. Over time, there have been many instances of rumors pertaining to a remaster of the difficult action role-playing game. Evidently, those didn't prove to be legitimate.
Nonetheless, another has sprouted. This time from a shaky source, though, a shaky source that's backed up by a pair of reputable sources. YouTube channel PC Gaming Inquisition claims to be privy to quite a bit of tantalizing information about the supposed remaster. Reliable sources, @Nibellion and @Wario64, recently linked to the video from the channel in question.
What's more, the information purported by the YouTube channel is also backed up by another source by the name of @CaseyExplosion — as in, it lines up with their own supposed confirmation of the remaster. Anyway, now that we've established the sources, what about the actual details of the remaster?
Well, it's said the Bloodborne remaster for PlayStation 5 and PC will be pretty straightforward — think faster loading-times, improved textures, character models, and other quality-of-life updates. Bluepoint and QLOC are apparently handling the remaster. They were respectively responsible for the remasters of Shadow of the Colossus and Dark Souls.
According to the source, the remaster of Bloodborne would have been officially announced during Sony's PlayStation 5 event that was set to take place today — but was indefinitely postponed as not to detract attention from the currently ongoing #BlackLivesMatter protests.
Additionally, PC Gaming Inquisition made a similar claim that a remake of Demon's Souls is also in the works for the PlayStation 5. Demon's Souls released exclusively for the PlayStation 3 back in 2009 and was developed by FromSoftware, the same as Bloodborne.
