Shadows Die Twice took the punishing gameplay of Dark Souls and Bloodborne and morphed the setting to a feudal Japan setting. The new environment allowed players to encounter various creatures and horrors from Japanese legend and folklore.
Since its release, the game has sold almost 4 million copies and spawned multiple spin-off stories that even include an art book. One of the side stories that fans can explore tells the story of one of the games more tragic characters; Hanbei the Undying.
Players encountered Hanbei on their journeys through feudal Japan. The new manga series, Sekiro Side Story: Hanbei the Undying, will be venturing into the past of this character before he encountered the wolf.
The manga will be spearheaded by Shin Yamamoto and published by Yen Press. Recently, Yen Press revealed on their official Twitter, when fans would be able to get their hands on this compelling story!
