Days Gone was supposed to hit stores on February 22, 2019, but Bend Studio recently decided to move the release of the zombie sandbox from the crowded February timeframe, that includes potential sales hits like
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Anthem, Metro: Exodus, long-delaye
d Crackdown 3, Jump Force, and
Trials Rising, to April. Bend Studio will use that extra time to further polish
Days Gone.
This year's Paris Games Week may not be as meaningful as the last year's event (that belonged to Sony with new trailers for
Spider-Man and
The Last of Us: Part II), but the biggest gaming companies are still giving the attendants a chance to check out the upcoming hits. Thanks to French outlet JVTV you also have an opportunity to take a look at
Days Gone's latest build in their recorded playthrough.
Bend Studio has also released a gorgeous key art for the experimental sandbox that focuses on running away from danger rather that actively fighting the undead. The artwork showcases main protagonist Deacon relaxing next to his bike. The fact that an endless army of zombies is running behind his back to eat him seemingly doesn't bother the anti-hero. Be sure to check out the artwork and gameplay below:
Set in the beautiful, volcanic scarred high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game where you play as Deacon St. John, a Drifter and bounty hunter who would rather risk the dangers of the broken road than live in one of the “safe” wilderness encampments.
Days Gone will be available for the PlayStation 4 on April 26, 2019.
