Announced during the Sony conference at the E3 in 2016, and being developed by Sony Entertainment Interactive's Bend Studio,
Days Gone is an adventure survival horror game that will see players taking control of Deacon St. John in a post-apocalyptic world.
The game was initially supposed to release on the 22nd of February in 2019, but SIE's Bend Studio decided to push the release to the
26th of April; likely in order not to go up against Capcom's highly anticipated
Resident Evil 2 — a decision that will definitely benefit
Days Gone.
While we still have to wait a few more months for
Days Gone to become available, Bend Studio has shared yet another featurette that introduces us to the game's massive — and quite dangerous — open world, which will have players constantly on their toes as they not only try to stay alive, but also keeping their bike in top condition, and more.
This new gameplay video also introduces us to the Marauders, who are dangerous people that are also trying to survive in this post-apocalypic world; making them as dangerous, if not more, as the Freakers.
Take a look:
Set in the beautiful, volcanic scarred high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game where you play as Deacon St. John, a Drifter and bounty hunter who would rather risk the dangers of the broken road than live in one of the “safe” wilderness encampments.
Days Gone will be available for the PlayStation 4 on the 26th of April.
