If not for the long-awaited remake of Final Fantasy VII recently getting delayed , it would have been in the hands of fans in just over a week's time. Unfortunately, those anticipating fans will have to wait until April 10th. Find out more on the delay here.

Recently, Square Enix shared the game's opening cinematic. It's about five minutes long and you can check it out here. However, that's not what we're here to let you know today. Rather, we're here to let you know that the highly anticipated remake will seemingly take up a massive chunk of your PlayStation 4's hard drive.

Some photos of the upcoming remake's box recently surfaced on Reddit. The post was promptly removed but the images are still out there as many sites, including Push Square, had already reported on it. As you can see in the image below, the file size of the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake is a whopping 100GB.

That's certainly larger than the file size of most PlayStation 4 games but there are a few that match or even exceed 100GB — Red Dead Redemption 2 comes to mind (what with the base game taking up 105GB). You can check out the photo in question for yourself below:

In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor. Can Cloud and AVALANCHE protect the planet from the huge, formidable enemy, Shinra Inc.?

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available for the PlayStation 4 from April 10th, 2020.
