Coronavirus COVID-19 has not only affected the lives of thousands of people around the world, but also has affected the video game industry in ways that nobody could've forseen. While it is true that companies have done the best they can in order to stick to their original schedules, some changes had to be made.
Square Enix has decided not to push back the release date of Final Fantasy VII Remake, but there is a chance that some players will not be able to get their physical copies on time; something that doesn't have much to do with the developer, but with retailers.
Today, the developer has revealed that Europe and Australia are very likely to get physical copies of Final Fantasy VII Remake far earlier than usual; meaning that some players will get their physical copies of the game before its worlwide release on the 10th of April.
Square Enix has also revealed that physical copies of the game in other Western regions will be shipped this week, in hopes that Final Fantasy VII Remake arrives on the 10th of April as originally intended; they do, however, remind players that not everyone will get their copy on time.
Since Final Fantasy VII Remake will be releasing earlier in Europe and Australia, Square Enix encourages those who get the chance to play the game earlier not to spoil it for the rest.
