In response to aTwitter user who sought confirmation on a 2017 release for
Detroit: Become Human after the previously delayed title was included on Sony's 2017 sizzle reel, Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida say the game's appearance in the video was a mistake.
The twitter user was also inquiring about
Dreams so it appears that's another highly anticipated Sony exclusive (though Become Human is the more eagerly awaited) that won't be released in 2017 (potentially). Still,
there's 63 other exclusives to enjoy on the PS4, Vita and PS VR so the PlayStation crowd should still be thoroughly entertained for the duration of 2017.
The third-person, neo-noir thriller first started life as Quantic Dream's 2012 PS3 demo, Kara.

Detroit is the site of a new industrial revolution in Detroit: Become Human, a game about life -- human life, artificial life, and everything in between -- from Quantic Dream, the makers of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls.
This project was originally shown to the world as a demo referred to as "KARA", which presents a futuristic encounter with an android character who is brought to life before your eyes. The original technical demonstration (which at the time ran on PlayStation 3 hardware; the full game project has been commenced instead on PlayStation 4 consoles) used Quantic Dream's advanced motion capture, animation and lighting technology.
