December is slowly coming to an end, as Sony has finally revealed the PlayStation Plus free games lineup for January 2019, featuring some pretty unexpected but welcome choices. As a reminder, all the video games listed down below will be available to download on New Year’s Day – Tuesday 1st January.
Unlike this month's slate of PS+ games, there's at least one big-budget tittle this time around - Ubisoft Annecy's
Steep (PS4), that allows you to tear your way across the soft white powder of some of the world’s most breath-taking mountain ranges on skis, snowboards, wing suits or paragliders, as Ubisoft still supports the title and recently introduced an all-new PvP multiplayer mode in a free update.
PlayStation 4 owners will also get a chance to play
Portal Knights, a unique title that mixes time-honored RPG mechanics with large, procedurally-generated environments and clever co-operative play to deliver a stylish action-driven adventure. Keen Games' acclaimed title also allows you to build almost "anything" using dozens of in-game materials and furnishings – including NPCs!
As with previous months, Sony will be adding two games each for both PS3 and PS Vita, leaving the final line-up looking like this:
Steep (PS4),
Portal Knights (PS4),
Zone of the Enders HD Collection (PS3),
Amplitude (PS3),
Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion (PS Vita & PS4),
and finally
Super Mutant Alien Assault (PS Vita). Be sure to take a look at next month's PlayStation Plus slate down below:
