We truly live in the PlayStation era. Last year, Vicarious Visions finished working on
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and the remastered version of the first three games with the beloved purple dragon will launch on November 13, 2018 with Toys For Bob's
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. That's not all, as Square Enix is reportedly still developing the long-delayed modern take on
Final Fantasy VII.
Sir Daniel Fortesque, main hero of
MediEvil, is also coming back, as Other Ocean Interactive is working on a full remake of the original PS1 classic.
MediEvil follows the story of Sir Dan, an unlikely champion who met an unfortunate end on the field of battle. He receives a chance at redemption when his nemesis, the evil sorcerer Lord Zarok, accidentally resurrects him 100 years after that fateful day, as the hero has to stop an army of the undead and save the kingdom he swore to protect.
The first trailer for the
MediEvil remake was released two days ago and we already have the first visual comparison video. YouTube user Cycu1 has uploaded a short video that focuses on the difference between 1998's
MediEvil and the upcoming remaster. The video should make the
MediEvil fandom happy, as it proves that Sir Daniel Fortesque is in good hands. Be sure to check it out down below:
MediEvil follows the story of Sir Dan, an unlikely champion who met an unfortunate end on the field of battle. He receives a chance at redemption when his nemesis, the evil sorcerer Lord Zarok, accidentally resurrects him 100 years after that fateful day. Lord Zarok seeks to conquer the Kingdom of Gallowmere, and only the skeletal Sir Dan stands between Zarok’s army of the undead and the kingdom he swore to protect.
MediEvil is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2019.
