Even before Rockstar finally announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 is officially in development, excitement for the next instalment in the iconic franchise was through the roof. In recent weeks, however, we've seen that taken to another level, especially with rumours swirling about where the game will be set.
We don't know when GTA 6 will be revealed to the world, but Rockstar Mag's Chris Klippel has shared a very exciting insight into the "RAGE9" engine being used to create the sequel.
They believe that it's going to result in something "incredible" for the game, and promise that RAGE9 is "an engine ahead of its time." There are lots of ways to interpret this statement, of course, but you have to believe Rockstar is going to take this franchise to the next level both in terms of gameplay and graphics (just look at what Red Dead Redemption 2 delivered back in 2018).
That title delivered a jaw-dropping open-world experience when it was released, and we can't wait to see how Rockstar has pushed technology even further into the future with this game.
Grand Theft Auto 6 doesn't currently have a release date.
