Yakuza: Like a Dragon was announced in August of last year, and was revealed to be a PlayStation 4 game. This is actually the norm, since the Yakuza series has been — at least, for the most part — PlayStation exclusive titles that have, on occasion, been ported to other platforms.
Earlier this week, information seemed to suggest that Yakuza: Like a Dragon would be the first entry in the series to launch on platforms other than a PlaySation console, as the game had been listed on Steam. This, however, was not officially confirmed by neither Sega nor Ryū ga Gotoku.
Today we have some great news for fans of the Yakuza series, as Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku have confirmed that Yakuza: Like a Dragon is indeed coming to Steam. The studio also announced that the game will be releasing for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows 10, which is even more surprising.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon still doesn't have an official release date, but the developers reassure players that the game will be launching at some point in 2020. Considering that the game has been confirmed to release for the Xbox Series X(and presumably PlayStation 5) chances are that the game will probably launch at some point this Holiday.
Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku have also released a cinematic trailer for Yakuza: Like a Dragon to go with the announcement, so be sure to check it out down below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.
