The first (and last) trailer for the continuation of one of the most clever games of all time, Prey, that was released back in 2011, ignited players' imagination. The game's basic premise was, well, extremely promising. Prey 2 was supposed to tell the story of U.S. Marshal Killian Samuels, a bounty hunter on the planet Exodus who's trying to recover his memory in the alien, hostile, and divided world.

The game's troubles ultimately ended two years ago when Bethesda decided to cancel the project and reboot the franchise (which featured only one game) giving the task to develop Prey to Arkane Studios, the home of Dark Messiah of Might & Magic and the Dishonored series.

Andrew Borman, the digital games curator at the Museum of Play in Rochester, N.Y., has shared a clip from Prey 2 sent to him by Human Head Games. The short gameplay video features a lot of running and shooting alien bastards and it looks amazing, drastically different than Arkane's Prey. The neon-drenched city, fast FPS action, and unique setting should be more than enough to mourn Prey 2:
