2K Games and more importantly their
NBA 2K series, reach an important milestone as they celebrate their 20th Anniversary with this years edition of the popular basketball simulation game,
NBA 2K19. While the game doesn't officially release until
September 11th, pre-orders get players' access to the game early, starting from yesterday, Friday, September 7th.
The game has two editions, and three seperate cover athletes. The special 20th Anniversary Edition features Lebron James of the Los Angeles Lakers as the cover athlete, and for the standard edition has Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo in North America, or Philadelphia 76ers' and current NBA Rookie of the Year winner Ben SImmons in Australia and New Zealand (Simmons is an Australian native).
The standard edition goes for
$59.99 USD while the Special Edition will go for
$99.99 USD and feature a slew of in-game digital extras. All the features can be seen listed on their
official site here. Both editions will be released for Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and Xbox One, with a slightly modified edition for both iOS and Android smart phone devices.
