The Official NBA 2K Twitter account has been periodically releasing players' new ratings for this years edition, NBA 2K19, and it was only a matter of time until the 'Standard Edition' cover athlete, Giannis Antetokounmpo, learned about his. They caught his reaction and released in a short video here:
Giannis, lovingly nicknamed 'The Greek Freak,' was born in Athens, Greece and wears No. 34 for the Milwaukee Bucks. He built on his already impressive breakout season last year by posting up 26.9 Points, 10 Rebounds, and 4.8 Assists this year, coupled with around 1.5 Steals and Blocks per game--a very impressive statline for a player that is only 23 years-old. He has already positioned himself as one of the faces of the league, especially as many of the superstars are hitting their mid-30s.
NBA 2K19 has two editions for the game, the 'Standard Edition' featuring 'The Greek Freak' mentioned above, and a special 20th Anniversary Edition featuring Lebron James of the Los Angeles Lakers which will come with what is assumed to be many extra perks, both digital and physical.
The release date for NBA 2K19 is September 11th. 2018 and will be available for PC, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
