MORTAL KOMBAT 11 Will Feature The Franchise's Biggest Story Yet
Developer NetherRealm's upcoming brutal fighting game, Mortal Kombat 11, will feature the biggest story the franchise has ever had. Here is more information on the fighting title.
NetherRealm Studios is preparing for the launch of its latest title in the Mortal Kombat franchise, Mortal Kombat 11. The game's Twitter account has been specially active recently answering fan questions and concerns. One of these said Tweets reveals that Mortal Kombat 11's story will be the biggest story the series has ever had.
Twitter user @KingOfTheSquirl was thinking MK11 was a reboot of the series and not a continuation of MKX, this had the game's Twitter account step in and correct him by saying "Who said anything about a reboot? #MK11 takes place immediately after #MKX. It's going to be our biggest story yet!".
Mortal Kombat 9 was the game that rebooted the series, Mortal Kombat X continued that story and now, Mortal Kombat 11 will officially serve as the third entry in this story's saga. What we don't know for sure is what the Twitter account refers to when saying "biggest". This could mean story or play time through the campaing or the amount of production effort.
What we know for sure, is that NetherRealm Studios is keeping a tight lip on details and revealing too much. If you want to read more about Mortal Kombat 11, here is our report on the game's Nintendo Switch port and Reptile's possible appearance in the game.
Mortal Kombat is back and better than ever in the next evolution of the iconic franchise.
