Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has no story campaign or the single-player component. Instead, this year's
COD offers Treyarch's take on the undying Battle Royale genre introducing
Blackout, where the universe of
Black Ops comes to life in one massive battle royale experience allowing you to use vehicles and a variety of deadly weapons to become the last man standing, also playable in split-screen.
Activision has announced that
Black Ops 4 is the biggest day-one digital release in the company's history, beating juggernauts like Des
tiny 2, Call of Duty WWII and any other Activision's game launched during this generation of consoles. Sadly, the publisher still hasn't shared any hard data or actual sales numbers, so it's just a simple guessing game regarding the blockbuster title's real sales.
The publisher hasn't confirmed how well
Black Ops 4 performed in terms of physical sales. What we do know is the fact that this year's COD is following
Assassin's Creed and
FIFA in the UK, as the traditional sales are plunging.
Black Ops 4's first-weekend physical sales in the UK were down almost 50 percent compared to
WWII and down 59 percent compared to predecessor
Black Ops III. According to Games Industry,
Black Ops 4's first-weekend physical sales in the UK were the lowest in the series since 2007's
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Abandoning solo players might not be the best idea, after all.
Black Ops is back! Featuring gritty, grounded, fluid Multiplayer combat, the biggest Zombies offering ever with three full undead adventures at launch, and Blackout, where the universe of Black Ops comes to life in one massive battle royale experience.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC NOW!
