After a week's worth of teasers, Blizzard has finally revealed Overwatch's newest hero - Baptiste. He's a French combat medic looking to make the world a better place.

While his skill set and gameplay are still being kept under wraps, Blizzard did reveal Baptiste's origin story. One of 30 million orphaned children as a result of the Omnic Wars, Baptiste revealed he did what he had to in order to survive - “steal or starve, kill or be killed."

Following the Omnic crisis, Baptiste was recruited by Talon, the mercenary group comprised of Overwatch's baddies, including Reaper and Doomfist. Baptiste did eventually leave Talon, much to the group's displeasure. A lore teaser posted earlier this week revealed that Talon agents were hunting Baptiste down to either bring him back or kill him for knowing too much. The origin story below reveals what happened as a result of that confrontation.

Mobilize alongside the combat medic who made the shrewd decision to make the world a better place, one bandage... or bullet at a time: Baptiste.

Baptiste is said to be "coming soon" to Overwatch. He will be the game's 30th hero, following the release of Ashe late last year.
