An awesome "Angels of Death" cinematic trailer was released last week for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 last week, and now we have an update on when early access will begin for those that have pre-ordered the game, as well as new details on Twitch drops!
If you haven't pre-ordered Space Marine 2 yet, there is still time to do so, and Focus Entertainment has thrown in some very enticing incentives for those that order ahead of the game's official September 9th release date, including a season pass, special DLC, an Ultramarines Champion Pack, and a 4-day early unlock to get you into the game early.
Space Marine 2 Twitch Drops
Yesterday the devs released details regarding Twitch Drops, including what will be available, when, and who you should watch to get them! Note you will need to link your Twitch and PROS accounts. Click HERE to get a Twitch account, and HERE to get a PROS account if you don't have them already.
There are several skins available for Space Marine 2 through Twitch Drops. You can earn them by watching streamers playing the game from the list found here. Note that to earn them you must watch between September 4th and September 30th and different skins are available at different dates and have different requirements.
- Porphyr Shield Chainsword Skin: Watch one hour between September 4th, 3:00 PM PST and September 16th, 2:59 PM PST.
- Porphyr Shield Bolt Rifle Skin: Watch one hour between September 17th, 3:00 PM PST and September 30th, 2:59 PM PST.
- Porphyr Shield Powerfist Skin: Watch one hour with VIP drops activated between September 4th, 9:00 AM PST and September 30th, 2:59 PM PST.
- Porphyr Shield Bolt Pistol Skin: Gift a minimum of two subscriptions of any teir to any channel streaming Space Marine 2 between September 4th, 9:00 AM PST and September 30th, 2:59 PM PST.
Note that to receive the Twitch Drops you must watch one hour total. You can break up the time requirements however you like, as long as you are watching a valid stream and during the correct timeframes.
Early Access And OFficial Release Time Details
Have you pre-ordered Space Marine 2? Are you eager to find out when early access will be available? Look no further! We have broken down the information released from the devs and console gamers should be very happy as they will be getting early access three hours before PC gamers! The early access and official game release times and dates breakdown as follows:
- Console (Xbox X|S, PlayStation 5) Early Access: 6:00 am PST on September 5th.
- PC Early Access: 9:00 am PST on September 5th.
- Official Console/PC Release: 9:00 am PST on September 9th.
Space Marine 2 Pre-loading
Pre-loading of Space Marine 2 will happen at different times based upon the platform you have pre-ordered the game and which edition of the game you own.
- Xbox Series X|S: Pre-loading is currently available for those that have pre-ordered the Standard, Gold, or Ultra Edition of the game.
- PlayStation 5: Pre-loading is currently available for those that have pre-ordered the Gold or Ultra Edition. Standard Edition will be able to pre-load the game beginning on September 7th at 7 am PST.
- PC: PC owners of the game will not have the ability to pre-load.
