Earlier this year, EA announced that a new
Need for Speed game was in the works. Earlier this week, the franchise's website was updated to include a countdown clock — one that would hit zero today. Yesterday, some leaked images from a forthcoming trailer were leaked online and revealed that the next instalment will be called:
Need for Speed Heat.
We've now got confirmation that the leak was legitimate as the next
Need for Speed game has now been officially revealed — and is subtitled:
Heat. The new reveal trailer shows off some flashy and fast-paced driving but unfortunately no gameplay. Instead, a gameplay trailer will debut at the upcoming Gamescom event in five days — as revealed by
the game's website.
The intense racer will be releasing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles as well as on PC. Its worldwide release will take place on November 8th, 2019. There's a regular and deluxe edition — the latter including some extra goodies and costing £69.99. Both versions are currently able to be pre-ordered.
Below you can check out both the reveal trailer and official description of
Need for Speed Heat:
Hustle by day and risk it all at night in Need for Speed™ Heat, a white-knuckle street racer, where the lines of the law fade as the sun starts to set. By day, Palm City hosts the Speedhunter Showdown, a sanctioned competition where you earn Bank to customize and upgrade your high-performance cars. At night, ramp up the intensity in illicit street races that build your reputation, getting you access to bigger races and better parts. But stay ready – cops are waiting and not all of them play fair.
Need for Speed Heat will release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 8th, 2019.
