One of the longest-running, completely free MMO games has been the excellent 3rd person title, Warframe. Released in 2013, by Canadian developer Digital Extremes, the science fiction adventure title has players creating an avatar called a warframe, a protective armor that can be customized and colored; however the player desires, while also offering a ton of weapon options.
Warframe has been hailed by both online and action RPG gamers for years, due to its in-depth combat and upgrade systems, while still maintaining the necessary online components to have it last as long as it has. Plus, with such exciting stories, there is also a desire to see where the story will take the players next!
Since the game debuted, each expansion has been enjoyed by players at no charge, and the newest addition for the game, Heart of Deimos, has been released this past Monday. Aside from a whole new world, the game will also feature a new story, earn a community-designed, gender-neutral Xaku warframe, pilot mechs called necromechs, and can combine hoverboard mobility and shooting firepower which is sure to change how combat operates in-game.
With the update now live, will you be unearthing the mystery of Deimos? We would love to hear your thoughts on the new expansion in the comments below and for more details visit the official website here.
Heart of Deimos is an optional solo-only quest released in Update 29.0, introducing the Cambion Drift Landscape that has been overrun by the Infested and the Entrati Orokin family that seeks to maintain what's left of Deimos.
Warframe: Heart of Deimos is a free expansion that is available now for PS4 and Xbox One and will come to the Nintendo Switch later this week!
