Last week, Nintendo announced that they would be streaming a
Nintendo Direct presentation on the 6th of September.
The Nintendo Direct would be a 35-minute-long presentation that would focus on upcoming Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch games. On the same day of the Direct, the Japanese island of Hokkaido was hit by a powerful earthquake, causing mudslides and leaving a lot of people injured.
On account of the earthquake, and out of respect for the people that was suffering,
Nintendo Japan decided to postpone the Nintendo Direct and would reveal the new date later.
Nintendo Life reports that a new rumour has surfaced and we should be getting the Nintendo Direct this week. The news comes from multiple trusted sources, which confirm that the Nintendo Direct will be streamed on Thursday the 13th of September at 3PM Pacific Time.
A tweet by Platinum Train, a game exclusive to Japan, reveals that they have a surprise for their fans and it will be shared on the 13th, possibly hinting at this surprise being announced during Nintendo's presentation. This is only but a rumour and Nintendo has yet to confirm the official date, so take this news with a pinch of salt.
