When it comes to rumours about Nintendo's critically acclaimed Metroid Prime Trilogy, it seems that we've heard it all. The game has been rumoured to release for the Nintendo Switch for quite a while now, and Nintendo still hasn't confirmed — nor denied, for that matter — tht this is indeed the case.
One of said rumours claimed that Metroid Prime Trilogy is real, and that it has been ready to release for some time, but the release was allegedly pushed back when Nintendo officially announced that Metroid Prime 4 had been delayed, and that Retro Studios would now be working on the project.
Well, there's yet another rumour doing the rounds about this alleged Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch, which suggests that not only is the game real, but that it will be releasing as soon as June of this year.
GamesRadar+ reports that this information comes from Swedish retailer Inet, which lists Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch, and reveals that the game will be launching on the 19th of June. This information has since been removed from the retailer's website, which could inadvertently confirm Nintendo's plans to release the game in a few more weeks.
Now, this isn't the first time the same retailer has listed Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch on their website. In fact, the first time Inet did this was in December of 2018, and it was speculated that the game could be revealed during The Game Awards; none of that happened, so take this news with a grain of salt.
