Earlier this week we got some information that seemingly revealed that Crytek's highly anticipated Crysis Remastered would be releasing for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at some point later this week. The game was already released for the Nintendo Switch last month, so it was about time we had some news about the upcoming title.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game was released earlier because it was probably the only version of Crysis Remastered that didn't need extra twaking in the graphics department. Some of you may remember that the trailer for the game was leaked before Crytek released it, and it received a lot of backlash due to the graphics looking unpolished.
Because of this, Crytek released an official statement in which they apologised to players, and also revealed that they would do their best to deliver a top quality product like the one players expected from a proper remaster of Crysis; indefinitely pushing back the game's release.
As it turns the developer has finally given us some official news about Crysis Remastered, as the revealed that the long-awaited remaster will finally be releasing for the remaining platforms on Friday the 18th of September; a mere month from today.
With the announcement, Crytek also took the opportunity to release a short tech trailer that will give players a better idea of what to expect from Crysis Remastered — which shows off some of the enhancements that have been made, and proving that the delay was well-worth the wait.
Take a look:
What begins as a simple rescue mission becomes the battleground of a new war as alien invaders swarm over a North Korean island chain. Armed with a powerful Nanosuit, players can become invisible to stalk enemy patrols, or boost strength to lay waste to vehicles. The Nanosuit’s speed, strength, armor, and cloaking allow creative solutions for every kind of fight, while a huge arsenal of modular weaponry provides unprecedented control over play style. In the ever-changing environment, adapt tactics and gear to dominate your enemies, in an enormous sandbox world.
Crysis Remastered is currently available for the Nintendo Switch; PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions expected to launch on Friday the 18th of September.
