According to Hideo Kojima, the mastermind being the
Metal Gear Solid game series, his
Death Stranding has recently entered its "
critical phase of development," with the team at Kojima Productions combing all the elements and tools formed in its initial development into an actual game.
While Sony won't be hosting their annual E3 media briefing this year, there's a rather big chance that we will learn more about Koijma's PlayStation 4-exclusive video game in the next couple of weeks.
Koijma has posted a new behind-the-scenes photo on Twitter, suggesting that he's hard at work on a lengthy trailer for
Death Stranding. What’s even better, some eagle-eyed fans have instantly discovered that said trailer will clock in at 8 minutes and 40 seconds, making it the longest
Stranding trailer yet.
Considering that Kojima seems to believe that marketing campaigns often reveal way too much about a game and destroy the most important part of what really makes a game a game – the interactive journey – the upcoming video definitely won't spoil any core story bits or shocking revelations.
At the time of writing, Sony hadn't revealed any plans to showcase
Death Stranding in the near future.
