An insider with a good reputation by the name of Daniel Ahmad recently teased that at some point this week Sony will be releasing a brand new trailer for one of their major first-party games.
This means that very soon we're either going to get a brand new trailer for
The Last of Us Part II,
Ghost of Tsushima, or
Death Stranding. Ahmad unfortunately didn't divulge any information about the trailer other than that it is indeed on its way, so at the moment it's a guessing game. It most likely isn't
Ghost of Tsushima, so that leaves
The Last of Us Part II and
Death Stranding.
The last time we got anything major to do with the highly-anticipated sequel to
The Last of Us was E3 2018. As you probably know, this year's E3 event will be taking place next month but Sony won't be in attendance. There was a report which released earlier this year which claimed that a new trailer for
The Last of Us Part II will be releasing before E3 (according to
Comicbook.com).
Now, on the
Death Stranding side of things; if you've been following Gamefragger you'll know that Hideo Kojima, the mysterious game's director, has been hinting at the arrival of a new trailer for
Death Stranding for quite some time. Kojima has made multiple tweets as of later teasing that a new trailer was in its editing phase. You can find out more about those tweets
here.
You can make up your own mind based on the above evidence but my money's on
Death Stranding. It's of course worth noting that while Ahmad has proven himself to be a reputable source, the origin of this rumour was simply a forum post (which often don't lead anywhere), so don't get your hopes up too high.
