Originally scheduled to release at some point in 2018, and after being delayed a couple of times, Bend Studio's
Days Gone is finally ready to launch in just two more days, becoming available exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on
Friday the 26th of April.
Bend Studio has made sure to properly promote their game by releasing a bunch of trailers that introduce us to game's massive open world and Deacon's trusty motorbike(which is an essential part of the game in and of itself), as well as releasing featurettes that have revealed some very interesting information regarding the developers' approach when creating
Days Gone.
Today Bend Studio announced that Days Gone will also be receiving some free post-launch content in the form of a new Survival mode that will make the game even more difficult; featuring an increased level of difficulty, no fast travel, and an immersive HUD that removes maps and indicators from the screen to offer players the definitive survival experience.
The
Days Gone post-launch content will be released
at some point in June, with each week releasing a new Bike, Horde, or Combat challenge that will earn players some additional items and rewards. Bend Studio also reveals that beating the game in Survival difficulty will also earn them new trophies and a bunch of skins for Deacon's bike.
Set in the beautiful, volcanic scarred high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game where you play as Deacon St. John, a Drifter and bounty hunter who would rather risk the dangers of the broken road than live in one of the “safe” wilderness encampments.
Days Gone will be available for the PlayStation 4 on the 26th of April.
