Within the next couple of months, Capcom will launch at least two exciting titles. Resident Evil 2 will debut in January and the fans of killing monster will have a chance to check out the return of the Devil May Cry series two months later. With no doubt, 2019 will be a fantastic year for Japanese game development, as fan-favorite Dante and Nero will return soon to run their demon-hunting business.

In a recent developer interview with Capcom, Senior Producer of the game Michiteru Okabe revealed that creating an immersive world is Capcom's top priority. “Gathering the best materials for making a character’s look, voice and actions probably takes more time than an actual live-action film," Okabe explained. "Take actions, for example: For gestures unique to Japanese people, we need to get a Japanese actor to play the part. For voice, we need to use a Native English voice actor who can use proper pronunciation. These are details that players don’t think about while playing the game, but considering how immersed they become in the DMC world, we can’t cut corners.”

It's refreshing to hear that a game development studio cares that much about even the smallest details like hiring Japanese actors to nail their unique gestures and traditional behaviors. We hope that, unlike Rockstar during the development of Red Dead Redemption 2 , GTA V and Max Payne 3, Capcom treats their employees with a lot of respect and those amazing details don't come at the human cost.

A new demonic invasion has begun with the seeds of a demon tree being sown in Red Grave City. Now fully equipped with his trusty Red Queen and Blue Rose, and a new arsenal of rad robot hands thanks to his partner Nico, Nero must rise up to this new impossible task. With such insane amount of energy and destruction emanating from this surprise invasion, the stage is now set for the latest chapter of the “Sons of Sparda” saga.

Devil May Cry 5 is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC March 8, 2019.
