The Pokémon Company International has officially released the newest expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Titled Mega Evolution: Perfect Order, the set is now available at participating retailers worldwide and digitally through the Pokémon TCG Live app.

This expansion introduces fans to a fresh wave of Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, inspired by creatures first teased in the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A video game. The headline cards include Mega Zygarde ex, the Legendary Pokémon known for its overwhelming strength, alongside Mega Starmie ex, Mega Clefable ex, and Mega Skarmory ex.

These new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex stand out with exceptionally high HP and powerful attacks that can swing games quickly. As with other ex cards, however, they come with a significant risk: when Knocked Out, they hand over three Prize cards to the opponent. This high-reward, high-stakes design encourages bold strategies and careful deck-building around these massive threats.

Trainers can start collecting the new cards right away through several of the usual physical products:

  • Booster packs
  • Elite Trainer Boxes
  • Special collections

The set is also fully playable in the Pokémon TCG Live app on iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows. New players logging in during the launch period will receive the Mega Evolution: Perfect Order Battle Pass, which immediately grants a ready-to-play deck built around Mega Zygarde ex. Continuing to play and complete Battle Pass challenges unlocks an additional deck featuring Decidueye ex.

The arrival of Mega Evolution: Perfect Order marks a major step in the TCG’s ongoing celebration of Mega Evolution mechanics. These powerful forms, which originated in the core video games, continue to excite collectors and competitive players alike with their dramatic artwork, elevated stats, and game-changing abilities.

With the new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex now in circulation, deck archetypes centered on heavy hitters and rapid knockouts are expected to see a surge in popularity. The three-Prize-card drawback adds a layer of tension that rewards smart prize management and precise timing, keeping matches intense from start to finish.

Fans who have been waiting for more Mega content will find plenty to enjoy here, whether they prefer building around a single dominant Legendary like Mega Zygarde or mixing multiple Mega Evolution ex for versatile strategies. The digital Battle Pass ensures that even players who prefer online battling can jump straight into the new cards without needing to open physical packs first.

Mega Evolution: Perfect Order is available starting today at local game stores, major retailers, and through the Pokémon TCG Live app. Whether you’re a longtime collector chasing rare pulls or a competitive player looking to test the latest meta shifts, this expansion delivers the kind of high-impact cards that define memorable Pokémon TCG moments.

The set’s connection to Pokémon Legends: Z-A also builds anticipation for the new game, giving fans an early taste of the Mega Evolution designs coming to the Kalos region in its updated form.

For those ready to evolve their game, the time to open packs and build new decks is now. Mega Evolution has returned in full force, and the battlefield will never be the same.
