Xbox One owners can play
Hitman HD Pack, which contains
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and
Hitman 3: Contracts, on the console, as the bundle is now backwards compatible. Since the announcement of the feature, Microsoft has added hundreds of X360 games and dozens of original Xbox games to the list of playable last-gen titles. If you already own the pack, you can try it on your XO at no additional charge.
That addition basically means that almost every single
Hitman game is fully playable on Xbox One – with the exception of
Hitman: Codename 47, the first entry in the long-running series from 2000.
In this very moment, you can play the following
Hitman titles on your Xbox One:
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman 3: Contracts, Hitman: Blood Money, Hitman: Absolution, and two current-gen installments, elegantly titled
Hitman and
Hitman 2. The bad news is that
Codename 47 has never been ported to any Xbox console, so the chances of a special Xbox One edition of the game are rather slim.
