Back in March, there was a rumor doing the rounds which suggested that Nomada Studio's critically acclaimed title Gris was going to be getting a physical release for the Nintendo Switch — although the developer didn't confirm nor deny the rumor.

It turns out that this wasn't quite a rumor that came out of nowhere, as the game had shown up on Special Reserve Games' website, but it just wasn't confirmed that this was, indeed, the case.

Today we have some great news, as the "rumors" were true, and Special Reserve Games will be releasing a physical edition of Nomada Studios' Gris, which will be releasing at some point soon for the Nintendo Switch.

While the release date still hasn't been revealed by Nomada Studio or Special Reserve games, we do know that pre-orders for Gris' physical edition will begin on the 25th of June; with the developer promising that they will be sharing more details about it soon.

Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality.

Gris is currently available for the Nintendo Switch and Steam.
