It's no exaggeration to say Grand Theft Auto 6 may be the most highly anticipated video game of all time. However, while Rockstar is taking its time revealing this next instalment in the iconic franchise, a new leak shared by ComicBook.com may shed some light on what exactly gamers can expect.
Apparently, the official title will be Grand Theft Auto VI and have two leads: a twin brother and sister. They're separated following the murder of their parents by the cartel, and that story will be told in a prologue that plays out in South America. The main campaign will then shift to the United States, and it's there the siblings will cross paths again.
The twist, however, is that whereas the brother becomes a DOA (Grand Theft Auto's take on the DEA) agent, the sister ends up working her way up through the ranks of the cartel that killed their parents. She's a hitwoman and is planning to eventually take her revenge on those that ordered the killings.
The core story of the game reportedly takes place in Cuba, Columbia, Vice City, and Carter City, meaning we're likely getting a hugely ambitious map taking us to all sorts of locales.
It's also noted that we can expect destructible buildings and a 2024 release date, but this is just a rumour for now and best taken with a pinch of salt until official details are shared. This does line up with previous Grand Theft Auto VI reports, of course, and if true, it sounds like we're in for a treat.
How would you feel about the Grand Theft Auto franchise heading in this direction?
