Earlier this week, a rumour began doing the rounds which supposed that the long-awaited and highly anticipated sequel that is
Grand Theft Auto VI will be revealed as soon as March 20th. The source of this rumour was a user of the GTA Forums who previously emerged just before the reveal of
Red Dead Redemption 2 with word of the impending announcement.
While the aforementioned forum site is usually infamous for deleting posts and banning users who claim to have the inside scoop when it comes to this sort of thing, the seeming leaker by the name of gonnaenodaethat seems to be an exception. As mentioned in our report, they didn't only not delete this user's cryptic tease but they pinned it up for all to see —
more on that here.
Now the user has fueled the flames of another
Grand Theft Auto VI rumour. This time around, fans think they've discovered a subtle tease which seems to be hinting at the location of the sequel — that being Florida and Mexico. This area isn't foreign to the
Grand Theft Auto franchise as that's where 2002 instalment
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is set.
It seems
Grand Theft Auto VI could be returning to this familiar territory. You see, one of the newest races added to
Grand Theft Auto V's GTA Online mode is in a shape that avid speculators have latched onto. It simply seems to uncannily match the shape of the aforementioned part of the United States. Check it out below (via imgur) along with the leaker's comment.
