MARVEL'S AVENGERS: Square Enix Reveals A Bunch Of New Details About The Game's Beta In New Video

Today Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics livestreamed the second War Table presentation for the highly anticipated MARVEL's Avengers; a monthly presentation that seeks to reveal more information about the upcoming game based on the popular team of heroes by MARVEL comics.

During today's presentation, the developers finally revealed Clint Barton(a.k.a Hawkeye) to be joining the game's roster as the first of many post-launch characters, each with their own story that ties into the events in MARVEL's Avengers, but that wasn't all the devs showed off.

As previously revealed by Square Enix, MARVEL's Avengers will be getting a beta period for those who pre-order the game; with the PlayStation 4 beta kicking off on Friday the 7th of August, and the Xbox One and PC beta launching on Friday the 14th of August.

Today the developers revealed that the beta for MARVEL's Avengers will give players access to the Golden Gate Bridge demo that we all saw during the gameplay reveal, which will give players a chance to play as every single one of the Avengers during the A-Day event.

On top of this, players will also be given access to some additional missions, where they will be able to play as Iron Man, Kamala Khan, Black Widow, and the Hulk; all of this in order to have players know what the game has to offer once it becomes available this September.

Take a look:

Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

MARVEL's Avengers will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on Friday the 4th of September; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release date to be determined.
