EA has kept a tight lid on
this year's Battlefield game, but that could change very soon as a senior video director at EA Dice tweeted that the reveal trailer "is underway." Taking to twitter, Randy Evans, senior video and media director at EA DICE, teased the upcoming reveal, although he didn't provide a timeframe.
Evans was pressed by fans for more information on the trailer, but remained tight-lipped. When asked how he'd describe the trailer in one word, he simply replied "WIP" (work-in-progress). He also revealed that the
Battlefield 1 reveal trailer was worked on for "months" before it debuted. Without knowing where development stands on the 2018
Battlefield trailer, it's hard to say when it'll be released, but Evans makes it sound as if it will be sooner rather than later.
For what it's worth, Evans tweeted about the
Battlefield 1 trailer five days before its reveal trailer dropped, so perhaps we're working with the same timeframe. If that's the case, hopefully we can expect the trailer for this year's
Battlefield sometime towards the end of this week.
With this year's
Battlefield due out in October, and the game
set to be playable at EA Play in June, marketing for the blockbuster shooter should start to ramp up. Again, EA hasn't said much about the game, only that it will be "visually stunning" and "deeply immersive."
