When Insurgency was released four years ago, it got a mostly positive reception because of its simple HUD and hardcore gameplay. Now, with less than a month to go until Insurgency: Sandstorm hits store shelves, Publisher Focus Home Interactive has unveiled a trailer at Gamescom that promises a worthy followup.

The trailer showcases the frenetic urban combat players will experience in the Middle Eastern environment. The modern setting also sets it apart from the majority of triple A shooters such as Battlefield  V and Call Of Duty: Black Ops IIII.

Have a look at the trailer and let us know if you are looking forward to this game.

Insurgency: Sandstorm will be released in September on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is a team-based, tactical FPS based on lethal close quarters combat and objective-oriented multiplayer gameplay for PC and consoles.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is the sequel to the indie breakout FPS Insurgency, reborn for PC and for the first time on consoles – improved, expanded, and bigger in every way. Experience the intensity of modern combat where skill is rewarded, and teamwork wins the fight. Prepare for a hardcore depiction of combat with deadly ballistics, light attack vehicles, destructive artillery, and HDR audio putting the fear back into the genre.
