This Year's CALL OF DUTY Confirmed By Activision To Be Officially Announced By The End Of June

Considering that Call of Duty: Black Ops IV was announced in March 2018 and showcased on May 17th, it's safe to say that this year's entry in the long-running FPS series will be revealed in the coming days.

According to Activision, the rumored COD: Modern Warfare 4 will be announced before the end of June, right in time for E3 2019 – that will be held June 11-13 in Los Angeles. The bad news is that Sony, Activision's business partner, is skipping the show, but the company probably won't want to miss the opportunity to showcase one of the biggest gaming brands on Earth during the most important expo for gamers – so expect new details on 2019's COD at Microsoft's conference or Activision's own event.

Activision has already confirmed that this year's installment is being created at Infinity Ward, the makers of the Modern Warfare trilogy, COD: Ghosts and Infinite Warfare, with recent reports claiming that the American developer is actually working on the fourth chapter of the acclaimed MW saga.

Rumor has it that this year's COD will bring the series back to its roots with the inclusion of a single-player campaign and boots-on-the-ground gameplay – as that gossip will be verified relatively soon.
