Team Sonic Racing was first teased in May of last year, finally getting its first official trailer in June during the E3. The trailer gave away some details about the game such as playable characters and revealing some familiar stages.
Ever since the first trailer for
Team Sonic Racing was released, Sega has been sharing some news about the game — which have been focusing a little bit more on revealing stages and their fantastic music rather than announcing new characters.
Today, the official
Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account has revealed that the evil Dr. Eggman, Metal Sonic, and Zavok will be joining the roster in
Team Sonic Racing — as a team comprised of some of the most vicious baddies Sonic has had to face over the years.
In the same Twitter thread, voice actor Mike Pollock — who has been voicing Dr. Eggman since 2003 — low-key revealed that he is coming back in the role of
Sonic the Hedgehog series' main antagonist; which is something that long-time of the series will likely appreciate.
